Scrap Robot 3*3 Rugby Tournament
The “Land” themed Robot 3×3 Rugby Tournament will open up 10 places for schools & organizations to register as a team.
The competition will start with a preliminary round at “Single round-robin Tournament”. The 10 teams will be divided into two groups (East and West Coast), with 5 teams in each group.
Upon completion of the preliminary round, each team will enter to “Elimination Tournament” with their rankings from the preliminary round to compete for the championship.

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM
- Each team will send 3 robot operators and 3 scrap robots.
- Each robot must be of the required size and dimensions – 20cm (length) x 18cm (width) x 20cm (height).
- Each match is limited to 5 minutes.
- The referee will decide which team will offense first by heads or tails before the game.
- The offense team has to choose one of the robots to be the ball carrier and deliver the ball to the defense team’s touchdown area to score points.
- If either team scores a try, a change of possession will take place.
- The team that has been awarded the right to attack has 1 minute to attack at a time.
- The defending team must try to stop the offense team from carrying the ball into their own touchdown area.
- After the 1-minute offense time, the referee gives the ball to the new offense team to continue the game.
- From the previously defensive team to the offensive team, the offensive time is also 1 minute.
- In each game, the team with more points wins.
a. Preliminary Round – Winner 3 points, Loser 1 point, Tie 2 points each.
b. Second Round – The winner will advance to the next round. - Preliminary Round (Single round-robin Tournament)
– 10 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 5 teams each (East / West Coast Group) by drawing lots. The result of each team in the preliminary round will be the basis for qualifying for the second round. - Second round
– 10 teams will based on their group results. The 4th and 5th place of each group will have to play one more match to confirm the final 8 teams. The format will be the same as the preliminary rounds.
Elimination – 10 teams will qualify for the elimination rounds based on their group results.
